         Mandate of the EGEE JRA1 Integration Cluster

  The EGEE JRA1 Integration Cluster is responsible for providing a common infrastructure for software configuration and integration and for building integrated software releases and in such activity is independent from the implementation and testing clusters. The team members are full-time dedicated to their position. The Integration cluster is purportedly separated from the implementation clusters to prevent assumptions in implementation and integration efforts as standard  practice in industry.

The Integration group will provide and use the code repository, build system and defect tracking system in collaboration with the Quality Assurance activity.

The implementation clusters, operation groups and the Application Interfacing activity will provide requirements to the Integration Team. In collaboration with the Quality Group and in consultation with the Implementation, Testing and Operations activities, the Integration team will define a release process, the conclusion of which will be synchronized to the deployment cycle with agreed procedures for hand-over.

The primary customer of all integrated releases produced by the Integration Team is Testing.
